Young Dubya tried writing an essay when he was a school at Andover, aged about 15 about an emotional experience, namely his sister dying of cancer when he was six. He tried to write the phrase "and the tears ran down my face" but he had already used the words tears several times before. So he looked in his thesaurus that his mother bought him and wrote "and the lacerates ran down my face."

[paraphrased badly from The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty by Kitty Kelley]
